Mokkapala, I am also from Scandinavia. My son is at Star Intl. in Umm Al Sheif. Fabulous school, lovely, caring and relaxed environment. I recommend you have a look at it as well.

Thank you for the feedback. Just to give you somebackground info - I am from Scandinavia and our schooling system is very different there - formal schooling starts at6/7 years of age before which they go to kindergarden or preschool but those are quite different from the ones here. My priority is not to find the closets school to our home but a good one. Our plan is to stay only maximum another 3 years so when we go back, she will still beatthe age when the school actually starts at our home country. So am currently finding the schooling systems a little bit confusing. I have friends here who will starttheir childrenin schools that requirechildren to be 4 when bySep 15 whe theystart - this is my preference too - and some have their children in schools at 3. I plan to do the applications this January for KG1 in September, most schools I have spoken to said the application time is now. So am currently taking schook toursand registering. Thanks again for your feedback.

don't know about the school but the parking at drop off and pick up time is horrendous! Been caught many times trying to get in to the little spinneys.

Cannot help you with KG, but will give you my opinion regarding EIS – Meadows high school. Last year it was a mess – 25 teachers left school at the end of year, a lot of substitutes, bulling problem, no discipline during the lessons, poor communication with parents, no feedback on any requests. But this year they change the principal (two times, but this is another story) and a lot of things were improved – they hired western teachers (UK, NZ, AUS), no substitutes so far, communication with parents is much better, they are more strict with pupils behavior and appearance. I would suggest you to visit school and speak with the teacher.

I am looking for a school for my DD for next September.We live in Springs. So would like something close to our home. I am looking into EIS at Meadows, DIA and Regent. I have seen topics on EIS that have not been so nice lately and just wonder if they are any parents who have children there at KG1 or KG2 and if so, what feedback could you give to me. Similar to the other schools, any good or bad feedback? Much appreciated. Also at what age did your children start school. Mine turns 3 soon and I honestly would prefer her to stay in nursery for one extra year as I like the environment there so much - very child friendly and suitable for their age. But then I am told if she only starts at KG2 level, it will be hard to secure a place. It all depends on what you want from a school. From reading your post, I think close proximity is your main priority, in which case the school ticks that box. For me that is last priority. We all have different things we need. EIS is not a school for my kids, but that is my opinion. I think she is a bit old now to be too choosy, you have most likely lost places in other schools. Good luck
