I am looking to buy a car and have no idea about which car to buy. I do not want anything too expensive or something that will cost a lot to service or replace parts. I was thinking of a Focus, Yaris, Peugeot.

Advice please

We've had a few Yaris cars and we've never had a problem with any of them - they were all bought brand new though and we didn't have them for many years. If you just want a small runaround car they are great - a/c good, low service costs/fuel costs, etc. We had a 2 door back home, which was a bit of a hassle - have a four door hatchback now and it's great for the two of us. I don't drive and DH takes work transport to AD every day, so the car is mainly used at weekends. If we had more family members, we would probably go for the sedan though, as if you have 2 passengers in the back of the hatchback, there's not much boot space. We manage, as you can move the back seats forward to create more boot space for shopping, luggage etc. Rarely do we have more then 2 people in the car though...We also looked at the Nissan Tiida when deciding between that and the Yaris. edited by chizz on 12/01/2011

yaris is not bad, focus too. i like the ac in em, consider summer time, when u really want yr car to be cool within minutes. i have not checked that with pathfinder, it was a nitemare, the ac system was not bril. takes ages to cool it down. so size is no matter. ac is :)
