Hey meals ,

Just wondering about you and Jackson, how are you both?

Is your little fighter putting weight on nicely? When will he be ready for home ?

Hope all is good and you are not too exhausted , I often think of how you are doing , especially as I am nearly due !

Can't wait for an update x

Congratulations - so glad you got home with him. I think they put on weight quicker at home too - DD did once home from NICU; and the good thing is the 3 hourly feed held for us save for a week's growth spurt at six weeks corrected age. Bless him - so noticable with preemies when their cheeky chops begin to fill out (love it!) . Take care and hope you recover well too x

Thats brilliant news, so happy you are home and you can get back to " normal" whatever that is with a new baby:) Make sure you look after yourself, sounds like you are a bit run down, which is totally to be expected, i'm sure it'll be much easier without the daily commutes to and from the hospital. I really am pleased you are all together again! Thanks for asking about me, i am doing good the stomach tear healed good in end and im just generally the size of a whale now and deffo ready! not really sleeping at night, so catching sneaky naps in day while is still can, his head is definately down now if you saw me walking you would know, so just a waiting game now! Remember, take care of yourself missy!

Was thinking of you too Meals (we're considering Jackson as a middle name!) so thanks to Dollymud for posting. Glad to hear he's home from hospital and settling in with the rest of the family. Must be such a relief having him home with you all. Hope you're health improves soon and you begin to feel better. No wonder you're exhausted after everything you've been through in the past few months. Keep well Sx

Hi Dollymud! Great to hear from you... Very exciting news - we were able to leave hospital last Wednesday and it's been divine! :) The Dr's had me readmitted back into hospital (kind of) for 4 nights while Jackson stayed in with me. This gave them a chance to assess his weight gain/ loss and determine whether he was ready for discharge. He managed to maintain his weight, breastfeed really well and we got the exit pass! He's in a lovely 3 hourly feeding routine (bless NICU for that!) and I'm waking him most time for those feeds. He's mostly just sleeping and feeding (and growing!). I'm taking him for a follow-up appointment with the peadiatrician early next week to check his weight etc - can't wait to see how that's goin (but I think it's going pretty well... he's got tiny little chubba cheeks now and he's working on his double chin). I'm going well. It's so lovely to be home - although it's a lot noisier here with my other two DS's running around. They absolutely adore him! It's gorgeous. I'm tired, getting up at least once more overnight than I was when he was in hospital and now DH has to go back to work this week after having to take so much time off in the last month with school runs and looking after the crazy boys. It's a shame he can't have more time off... especially for me! I've managed to develop pneumonia (had a shocker cough after delivery that festered and I didn't get checked out cause I had no time to go to Dr's) and also a lovely cold sore... my body is exhausted! I can't wait to hear your news... not long to go now :) You must be counting down the days! Are you sleeping? Still feeling ok? Not pains? A xx
