Take her with you if you can , less stressful than employing someone new. Maybe somesone who have lived there an expat may see you thread and help you , wait and see. Have a look for older threads as maybe someone else has enquired about Egypt before.

Our maid is filipino and I know she would love to come with us too....plus we totally trust her. There are loads of info regarding clubs and organisations see some of which I copied and pasted below for you. Maybe someone could help you and put you in contact with people in the know for where you will be living. http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listings/living/living_abroad/living_in_egypt.shtmlhttp: //www.touregypt.net/clubs/CommunityServicesAssociation.htm This one should be useful as it says community services. http://www.touregypt.net/clubs/TheWomen'sAssociation.htm Living in Egypt: Resources for Expatriates The Economist is a British weekly newsmagazine reporting on the global economy, politics etc. ... FAWCO (Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas), www.fawco.org, ... Search for expatriate groups in Egypt all over the country. ... www.transitionsabroad.com/listings/.../living_in_egypt.shtml - Cached - Similar Good luck !

What nationality is she ? . There are flipino maids there, as like anywhere else . Find out from the company you are going with if there are other expats like you one can contact now before you go. Computer may not be much help for Egypt, it is not like here . Just look at any program on TV or ask one who has visited or lived there.
