Hi ladies,
My husband might get a new job in Lima, Peru.
I was wondering if some of you had been there, maybe you could share some insight?!
I'd appreciate your feedback ;) :\:

My parents and younger brother lived there for 4 years from 1996 to 2000. They loved it! I went over to visit them numerous times for as long as 3 months at a time. Lima is a big, chaotic city but has some very nice, green residential areas. The beaches south of Lima are nice, although the water is not anywhere as clean as here. It is fairly safe although pickpocketing and scam are around. My brother was robbed once by a gang of teenagers, because he stupidly walked down a lonely alley by himself at night. With the necessary precautions it is not too bad though. Traffic is bad and chaotic in Lima. Food is fairly cheap and it's really a very relaxed lifestyle. The country is beautiful and national flights are cheap. It's also possible to go anywhere on a roadtrip if you have a car or get a rental car. You can drive to Chile, Argentina, Equador without problems. Very, very interesting ancient sights of Inka times. And great wildlife, too.
