Buy paint with low VOC. Dulux has also eco paint specially for allgerics, we used back in our Homecountry. They had on the tubs a sign with a blue engel. But I am not sure if they have this paint here in UAE. Maybe this website will help to find a good safe paint: http://www.renovationplanning.com.au/stories/The_paint_paradox_VOCs_whats_that-0000000170.html It is always a bad sign, when the paint smells strongly - means bad unhealthy ingredients. edited by Domi on 20/01/2011

Sorry to hijack... but we are about to paint our baby's room in our new place. Should we paint it a couple days before moving in? Hadn't thought about paint fumes... (bad mother I am :()
