Slightly random question - in which areas do most Dubai maids who don't live in their employers' houses (agency maids and the like) live? Or are they more likely to live in Sharjah than in Dubai?

And what kinds of jobs would be most represented in Satwa's inhabitants?

I know there was 'one family one villa' legislation introduced a while back, but do you still get villas in certain parts of town that are lived in by large numbers of people, with friends or families sharing a room?

Most are living in rooms in satwa or dorm type accom where they pay a huge amount for a mattress in a shared room of 5,10,16 etc. Really it's so unacceptable. I wasn't sure whether Satwa wouldn't in fact be too 'upmarket' for maids' accommodation - I know they often live in very overcrowded circumstances.
