Irrigation System - looking for answers

With the hike in DEWA we are considering on having an irrigation system put in place and just wanted some opinion. If you had one done previously could you please share your experience with the following:
* how easy was it to get it installed
* was the garden all messed up once installed
* how quickly do the watering holes block up
* have you had troubles with your dog trying to undig the cables
* how much did you pay for it
* did you see a drop in your DEWA bill
