Do anyone know much about low AMH ??

Saw my UK consultant yesterday and he was very negative about my next cycle. He's done the AMH blood test but it states 3 weeks to get the results back.

Would love to hear from anyone in Dubai having treatment who do have a lower AMH ???

Thanks for reading

xx

Hi Nickym1d, I've just done my first round of IVF here in Dubai at the DGFC in Healthcare City. Unfortunately it was unsucessful but we'll try again in a couple of month's time. Everyone I know has either been to Conceive or DGFC.. not sure there are any other options here! But they both come highly recommended.. Good luck and get in touch if you do try in Dubai! x

Yeah we are, already had 2 goes in the UK which have both failed, but last year ive had quite a few operations to help with my fertility. Not sure if we'll get round 3 in the UK or try in Dubai when we move over, think it may be too rushed if we do it now at home. Ive looked into a few clinics out in Dubai, and i must say they all have higher success rates than the UK. Will you try again?? xx

We didn't have the IVF here in Dubai. We traveled overseas to where DS was conceived - also with IVF. We were really happy with that clinic and the doctor so we decided to go back. Looking back it might not have been the best decision. It was a long, tiring and expensive trip. Not sure if that influenced my response to stimulation and the growth of the embryo. The doctor told me that I shouldn't worry about the AMH test results and at the end it seems it did make a difference. She also said that there is not much chance to have better response if I tried again. That's why I started to look into alternatives like herbal supplements. Are you planning on doing IVF?

Thanks for your reply. Really sorry to read that your treatment wasnt successful sending hugs your way xx Ive heard of people at home in the UK taking that supplement too. Also heard lots of good things about acupuncture, think its quite expensive though. Can i ask where you had your IVF cycle?? Hope to chat to you more xx

I had the test done last Sep but it took only one week to get the results back. Mine was low (0.9). And I failed the IVF cycle in December/Jan (just last month) because I didn't have many eggs and then the one embryo that conceived didn't develop. I have not done any treatment because so far I was told by two doctors that there is nothing I can do about it... But a friend recommended to take Vitex (agnus cactus) which is a herbal supplement. After just one month I had really strong ovulation (I can feel ovulation pain and this one was super painful). So it might be working. This is where I stand at the moment. I was also thinking about acupuncture but I just haven't found the time to schedule it yet. I believe there is really not much you can do with the number of follicles left in your ovaries but you can improve the quality. Would love to hear if anyone has any other experience.
