Sorry to hijack your thread, but we are moving to the Lakes for the same reason - to be able to walk the kids to school. But I just heard that EMAAR may close off the cut through when they open the new road. Does anyone know if this is true?? Are there any petitions going on or parents lobbying to build a footbridge? DIA will be a little island in between three massive roads which will be horrendous for people wanting to walk to school.
