Anyone know anything about this? Apparently, I am so old and obese I don't qualify to do ordinary Zumba :( I'd like to go to a class with fellow unfit ladies attempting to lose weight. Any ideas, please? Apart from shooting myself to put myself out of my misery, of course :)

if anyone is interested I do classes that are suitable for ladies of all shapes and sizes at the new Jumeirah Islands Club. The classes are open to non members and non residents. It's a friendly, non intimidating class of exercise to music with the emphasis on fun, where you can work as hard or little as you like until you are ready to really go for it. I don't look like your typical instructor either as I'm quite chubby. If you are interested give me a call 050 655 9346 :-)

Thanks for all your replies, ladies. I know there are Zumba classes at the Hayya clubs near where I live, my question is about the "Gold" aspect, which apparently is for over 50's, as I am fast becoming decrepit, with creaky knees and painful back and ankles and am worried I wouldn't keep up with "normal" classes since I am so bad at taking any sort of exercise..

Hi there - I am not sure where you have tried but I am pretty sure Core Direction at the Marina or in the Greens does Zumba classes and you get to try one free before signing up to one of their packages. I am trying to get the nerve to go mself !
