I have two boys (both toddlers) and they are tearing our 2 bedroom apartment to pieces. I am in search of a villa reasonably close to Dubai Marina where DH works (I was thinking Umm Suqueim or Green Community maybe???)
Ideally, we would like to keep the cost down to 130,000.
My only other requirements are a maids room (if we have baby number 3 I am going to get a live-in) and I need a bit of a backyard for my boys.
Any suggestions Ladies?

How long would the commute be to Dubai Marina? Any ideas? Much traffic? DH hates traffic. He has it very good at the moment as we are in JBR, I just can't stand the apartment anymore.... hello, what's wrong with your JBR apartment? I've had this theory for a while that JBR is great for visitors, but not so good for people who live there SK Nothing wrong with the JBR apartment, I actually love living here and we have been here for 3 years. My boys just need a garden and I have to admit, I would love to be able to open up a window once in a while!!!!

bornconfused:we are looking for type 2 on Al reem. Is it possible to deal direct with the landlord or have you always been with a real estate agent? Which Al ream are you on. Thanks in advance We deal directly with the landlord when we need something. He just lets the agents deal with all of the paperwork for the rental. We are in Reem 1. Thanks. Do you think the landlord would be willing to speak directly with us rather than go through the agency? Would be nice to save a few pennies!! Our 3 bedroom 2e on a corner lot, with big back yard is going around 125k right now. It is listed with Smith & Ken, Better Homes and Engle Volkers. We are moving out by the end of next week. My biggest hang up is the traffic outside of the Greens/Tecom area. That problem will be solved once they finish the over pass right there. From here I get on Emirates Road towards Abu Dhabi. Take the first exit once I enter Emirates road. Think it says Barsha as the exit. And follow it straight down to SZR road.

forgot to add... if u r staying in Springs 4 to 15 it will take you roughly 10-15 minutes to get out of the community (more coz of the speed bumps than traffic)... and then another 5 - 10 minutes on the highway to get to Dubai Marina... it's literally bang opposite side of the road... and a lot closer than Green Community or Ranches is to Dubai Marina...

i second the statements made... SPRINGS is quite nice a community to live in... and if ur backyard isnt enough space for the boys to run around they can also use the community parks, pool and lakes! we are also in the hunt for a 3 bedroom villa in the springs... and so far the 3M (type 3, middle units) have been most appealing... they come between 100K to 120K depending on view, etc... but they have a good backyard and a study room which can also be used as a maids room... wouldnt recommend the 3E (type 3, end units) as what you gain in extra backyard space you lose in room space inside the house... type 2's are good... where you have a maid and study... but then the rents they are asking for these (at least on dubizzle and 130K plus)... note to remember... some Springs do not have spacious parks/pools and lakes... so make sure you ask ur real estate agent to show you the community facilities before you confirm anything... dubizzle is a good start!! go online and check... all the best! :)

The 2 bed villas at Jumeirah Village Triangle are easily within your budget (they have a maids room too) and much more spacious than the 2 bed villas in The Springs, they start at 85k, also the gardens are enormous! You might be lucky in Um Suq or Jumeirah but the quality of villas theres varies so much it'll be quite a challenge to find a good one. Otherwise a 3 bed in The Springs should be within budget but beware not all of them have a maids room! 2 beds + study (type 4) in the Springs are now ranging from 60k-85k depending on location and size of plot (all prices are negotiable) 3 beds + study (type 3) with no maids room are going from 85k-110k 3 beds with maid and study (type 2) are from 110k-125k 3 beds with study and family room (type 1) are from 120k-140k Springs is a nice area and close to Marina.

You can easily get a 3 bed springs villa for that much. Also lovely villas at Motor City, might be able to get one. Closer than Green Community and not a bad commute. <em>edited by guinness on 07/03/2011</em>
