Hi, I am a first timer at this, and i heard that i can switch a visit visa into a work permit. I was wondering if anyone knows a recommended nanny/maid. I have a one-year-old ,and i am thinking of going back to work so i need someone trustworthy. Preferably from the Philipines since i want her to speak good English. So if someones knows a good helper that is leaving their house or is in Dubai on a visit visa and wants to stay and work, can you please contact me. Thanks.

Have a look at www.backtobasicsuae.com this is a website with info on home help etc. I purchased a book from here for my nanny which is a guide to first aid. I also booked the nanny on the first aid course. The book comes in dual language. Having a Filipino nanny I obviously got the English/Filipino version! They have a section on maids/nannies complete with CV's. It's worth having a looking. I find about this at the Expatwoman Education Fair which they held recently.

Yes I know her personally .She is the nanny from a six years old girl since more than 5 years . I meet her almost every day with my children at the play area closed to my villa and I would personnaly hire her if needed . She is free in one month .

HI My advice would be to get one through an agency.. Ive learnt the hard way with employing maids excepting excellent references paying out 6000 dhs for all the visa and insurance then to lose it all ....after your kids have bonded with the maid and back to square one 6000 dhs lighter. If u get one through an agency after a few months if it isnt working out they normally replace them etc and u havent lost alot of money. As they sponsor the maid not u. Alot of people say they cant get an agency because they pay them such a low wage, but i personally will only be going down that route. Good luck with your search hope u find a reliable one.

Some Shrilankan maids also have excellent English. I would definitely prefer Good luck with your search. ;)
