Hi,

I have just had my baby and i am petrified of taking her in a taxi to the hospital for check-ups/jabs. I dont drive and live in AR (5 mins walk from the clinic). I looked the clinic up online and it said they do peadiatrics.... do you think id be able to take her there for check ups instead of Welcare (where she was born)??

Has anyone used the clinic for babies?

For those of you whose insurance was accepted which one are you on? We are Bupa and for wellness stuff, I wouldn't mind going there as well?

Thanks for the responses. Corkshellly, thankyou for the kind offer but i couldnt ask someone to give us a lift everytime we need the hospital. I walked up to the clinic last night and spoke to them about what exactly the offer. Seems they do peadiatrics (good to know the dr worked in perth - being a scot myself!) They will accept our insurance too which is a bonus. Ill give it a go and see how it is. like i said im reeeeally limited for choice as i dont drive and the thought of taking DD in a taxi stresses me out. The only other option is for me to buy a car and get driving.

Emma try Medicentres at motor city instead. They are very good and convenient from the ranches. I go there for vaccinations of my LOs as well. If you are a new mom, also try out their free of cost well baby clinic. Great place to meet other mums and babes, get your baby weighed and mothering issues solved. Give them a call and check on what days they do it

I took my little girl there last Saturday and was really happy with the pediatrician and the nurse who administered the vacines. My daughter didn't even flinch. Didn't have to deal with any payment etc as my insurance was direct payment with the clinic which was a bonus. The pediatrician was previously working in Perth Scotland in the special baby unit and was friendly and professional. :)
