New to Doha and new to maids!

Hi all, we will be relocating to Doha soon and I am starting to think about maids. I feel a bit uncomfortable about having live-in help. Whilst I like the idea of having daily help I'm not sure how I'll adapt to not having much privacy in my own home. Is it the norm, or do many people have a maid that visits daily or several times a week instead? Do they prefer to live in?
