Also, there is a dry cleaners shop that does alterations in Barsha. It's behind Cassells Hotel. If you use the metro, get off at Sharaf DG station and then you will see the sign for the hotel.

HI, I think Cheeky means Megastitch, I take all my stuff there too. On foot, If you stand in front of Lulu's and head towards American Academy, stop at junction, look across the road to the right & it is next to a restaurant on a corner.

Hi I live in the tecom areaa too and i use Mega Stick they are near Lul lu on the opposite side of the road. They are fantastic and very cheap. I had a pair of jeans altered for like 20 dirhams. Hi Cheeky, can you explain the location a bit more in detail? Would like to try.

Head up the corridor to the toilets next to Athletes Foot - the last door at on the left at the top of the corridor - yes the one marked Staff Only - go through the door and the tailors is almost straight ahead of you . Don't be put off by the look of the place, it's typical of tailors here with plastic bags piled up everywhere. There is a wee changing room if you need to try something on for them to pin it.

Ok realised my previous post doesn't bring much so deleted it :). I believe Stitch 'n Sew are very good but they charge like 10 times what they charge in other places. I prefer using one on SZR behind coco's (I drive from the whole other side of town to go there). I brought 7 things there for alternations (including jeans) and it was 120 dhs. I once brought one skirt to stitch 'n sew and it was close to 100. On previous thread I read about ibn battuta and satwa. edited by Eva B. on 03/05/2011

Hi, Not sure if this is near for you, but I take mine to a place in Dubai Mall. I think it's called Stitch n Sew by Waitrose. Very good and never had any problems, touch wood! Nippy
