I know someone who did this. She has 9 kids and always suffers severe post natal depression (so would I if I had 9 kids) but she preserved, dried and ground up the placenta of the last two and took them in capsules and swears it prevented pnd. She also did something called a lotus birth, where they don't cut the cord, the placenta and cord stay attached to the baby. I cannot even imagine how difficult that is to put into practice, here hold the baby and errr the placenta?
