TwoKids - that's exactly what I needed - thank you! I think I missed it because of the "nao" in the title. Happymommy - fingers crossed I get to where you are. Thanks for the replies.

Sounds like an earlier bedtime could solve your problem. At 17 months your DD is very likely to skp that second nap soon anyway. What time is her first nap? Maybe if you go with a super early bedtime for a couple of days and try to gradually move her first nap towards the middle of the day you could end up with only one good nap and a good night's sleep. DD started skipping her 2nd nap at around 14 months. For a while her naptimes were all over the place. It took a good 4 weeks until we established a good schedule that works for all of us. She now goes to bed between 6:30 and 7, sleeps till 6:30. Breakfast around 8, snack before nap, then nap between 11 and 11:30. Naps for 2-3 hours and has lunch afterwards. Then dinner around 5:30, 6 and then off to bed.

Hi Clair, There was a thread started last week titled 'Altering DD's nao (p) schedule' that you might find helpful. I'm sorry I don't know how to post the link! HTH:)

DD has pushed her morning nap out so is now wanting to sleep in the afternoons at 3pm. I end up waking her at 4/4.30pm as I don't want her napping later than that but as a result, she's pushing her bedtime out from 7 to 8pm. She obviously still needs that 2nd nap but the later bedtime means that after dinner and household chores etc, I'm not having much time with DH in the evenings. Do I just go with it as at 17 months, she's going to drop a nap at some stage anyway and then things will all change again? She's very active and we spend as much time outdoors as possible (before the full-blown Summer hits that is!) so there's just nothing I can do to get her down earlier in the mornings...Any advice please?
