I desperately need an additional Ergo carrier before we head off on holidays in mid-August. I've got one which is awesome but need another as we have twins and are travelling to Sri Lanka where the double stroller won't really be practical. Babysouk.com is closed for the summer and the Ergo website will sell them here for a $50 shipping fee! please be careful of the difference between "souq.com" and "babysouk.com" Babysouk.com (with a "k") is an authorized dealer here, and i believe the only one! (we got our there) Souq.com sells ergo fakes and if you buy one from a chinese lady then...! souq.com has alotta great stuff but be careful that they give you 3 days to return stuff if its not as advertised in your sale. The babysouk.com owner is a westen lady and she will deal with you directly. by the way, if you buy locally it may be easier if you need service or additional parts.

oh no i was so excited, and i use it a lot, so i feel so stupid, and sorta ashamed... ****... well i have a real genuine baby k'tan and that is both mine and my baby's favorite, hands down... so at least i can feel good about that...

I'm sure it says on the link posted, but I read a good rule of thumb is to avoid any that come with a DVD as they have not been sold with a DVD for some time. I got mine in Brahaus in Ibn Battuta and am satisfied it's genuine.

Although I already owned one at that time and was not looking at buying, I sent the seller a message asking her how come they were so cheap. The Seller replied -" I get them directly from the factory that is why they are cheap". Now ofcourse that couldn't be the Ergo.inc's factory!! Seller also mentioned that he/she had it in all the colours and if I wanted to come and have a look. She is the one ! I met this chinese lady a few weeks ago . She said the Ergo are from the factory in China but the belts are different ( thiner ) . When i tried her ergo I saw that the black belts can slide and be removed . The baby can fall down easily . She said that she removed all her carriers from dubizzle and baby souk . Dont use it for the safety of yr child ! <em>edited by salome on 06/07/2011</em>

Is it Jane who sold you the carrier ? I met her and the Ergo looks fake ( the belts are different from the original one ) . Be careful if it is the same woman .

from dubizzle, i am very happy with mine except that she cant face forward, but i have a k'tan that can do that... anyway the woman who sold me the carrier said she has some on souq too, so could be the same woman, i haven't seen the ergo anywhere else in dubai.
