Need a bit of advice. Don't know what is the tradition and customs here regarding delivery gift to your doctor.do you get them some kind of gift,or flowers or box of chocolates or thank u note(which I saw many of them in my doctors office) or nothing because they already getting paid.and what about nurses ?

Any advice highly appreciated ad I'm scheduled for section in 3days time.

I gave nothing for my first DS (OBS was terrible) did take the nurses in the ward a box of choccies though. Second DS, I gave a card and a Yankee Candle.

My DS was in nicu for a week, so I sent them a fruit basket from edible arrangments as it was a stressful time and the team was terrific. I sent the doctor the birth announcement. I think it depends on your relationship with the doctor, but they're just doing what they're paid for.

My father in law used to take his doctor a gift whenever he had been away somewhere. Cufflinks, shirt and tie (good quality) that kind of thing. The rest of the time I think it's a thank you note. He has some long term illnesses though that mean he see's the doctor every few months.
