Night time toilet training... do I give up or continue?

My DS 4 has been pretty much dry in his nighttime nappy for about 2 months with the odd night here and there being wet. We decided to stop putting the nappy on him at night and he continued to be dry mostly (again, the odd night here and there)... but this week he's been wet 4 nights in a row and I'm not sure whether to just go back to nappies at night for a few more months and monitor them or persevere... I've had enough of doing 4 loads of washing a day!!! And when he's wet, I mean I could probably put a bucket under the bed to catch it!
