Dear members,

I read on this forum that government clinics are free. If we have a health card from Sharjah, can we do vaccination in a government clinic in Dubai? Does anyone know or had experience with this?

If we have to go to Sharjah, then where?

You can get the free vaccinations in Sharjah at the local Government Mother and child clinic which is not far from the Sharjah ladies club. (go right at first roundabout after ladies club, then left at next roundabout, then straight, clinic is in single story pink buildings on lefthand side so you will have to take u-turn) You just have to go there with the usual passport and visa copies and the baby's birth certificate to open a file and you will be then given an appointment for the vaccination. We did that and it worked just fine for us. If I remeber correctly you also have to oportunity at every visit to consult the pediatricianand the baby gets weighed and meassured, the have lactation consultatants there too. I was absolutely satisfied with the care we got there and as the nurses vaccinate what seems to be at least 500 babies a day there, they are so trained that my little one didn't even notice the jabs.

After reading multiple sources, it seems i would need to get MOH health card as Dubai Health Card is not applicable to Sharjah visa holders. Then, i have to go either to Al Bahara in Dubai or Kuwaiti in Sharjah. Does anyone have experience with these hospitals?
