Hi, just saw your post. Have you found a dehumidifier yet? I have one that I can sell to you. Used for my basement back in the US. It is sitting in my storage now. If you are interested please let me know. It will need a transformer though as its 110V. I am in Abu Dhabi, on island. edited by floppy123 on 13/03/2012

Try the large electronic stores. I bought mine at Emax a couple of years ago. The brand was Crownline with a 4L container. Well, not that many to choose at the time. I run mine about 15-16 hours a day, and 24/7 if away. Still running ok, and the cost was about 650 Dhs? No need to get anything fancy, and you definitely need to be able to reach into the water container to clean it once in a while (some containers are designed with a small tiny hole for the water to get in and you would need to pour it back out the same way) and be sure you have the option in the back to hook it up to a pipe/garden hose so it will save you the time to pour out the water every time it's full as it will just shut off automatically which becomes useless to you. But it's winter time now, are you still having high humidity currently?
