My wonderful baby boy was sleeping from 6pm to 6am from when he was about 3 months old. He's nine months old now and for the last month and a half he's been waking up twice a night for a bottle. Now we've tried control crying for two weeks and no joy! What do we do? His bed time routine is the same, he's stuffed with food and milk during the day. He has a bottle in the morning, then weetbix with banana and yoghurt, then a bottle, then fruit, then lunch which is a veg + carb+ protein puree of some sorts he eats till he wont put another spoon in his mouth which is usually about 120g. Then more fruit, another yoghurt, bottle, dinner of vege + carb + protein puree, about the same amount as lunch, fruit then bed time bottle. He drinks water during the day too. I'm at my whits end. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone, guess we just have to hang in there. He poops 3 to 4 times a day so he's not constipated, could be teeth.

My 17 month old has gone through these phases. I've always related it to teething. He's been slow getting his teeth and have cause a lot of grief. I also think as they get older and more aware of their surroundings they like to check and make sure you are still around :) Good luck. I know it's frustrating but it won't last forever :)

Thanks fairycakeyumm, we first tried rocking him back to sleep, didn't work. We then tried water but he screamed as if we were trying to kill him! If I feed him a bottle he usually goes straight back to sleep if I don't he'll scream for hours and then wakes up my other two! He woke up last night at 11.30 then 3.30 night before it was 1.30 and 4.30. It's the 3/430 wake up that's killing me as we have to be up at 530 to get everyone ready for school and work.

He hasn't got trapped wind? His still burping before bed? Perhaps he just wants comforting in the night rather than bottle...now he expects a bottle his waking up ....is he waking up at the same times..perhaps his just thirsty and he can have a few sips of water and go back down? He could be too hot now at night ? I've been putting my 6 month old to bed with just a nappy on as it's teaching 29 degrees in his bedroom ... Think it's trial and error with alot of things.
