Hi madam I'm cherry, 40 years old from Philippines. I saw your post that you are looking for a full time live out housemaid/ nanny, if you gave me a chance I can apply for that position I'm interested. I'm currently working as a full time live out housemaid on palm jumeirah and my visa finished on June 28 and I'm looking for a new employer. I've been 9 years of experience on that kind of work. Looking forward for your response madam. Thank you...

Polka pet you make an interesting point about the travel allowance in your agreement and not paying it when she is on leave. I cant say I thought of it, but the again I offer an all in salary, which means my hb provides his food, travel, accom ect from the salary he is paid, plus visa, flights ect are extra paid by us. I will say the only downside so far is when we are away and he has to come in additionally fridays and evenings to look after my dogs, i hate effectively paying his "driver" the extra money as opposed to him for this and it can add up if you are away a lot, lr for long periods of time.

Hi Lil We have a "live out" maid for more than a year now and it work perfectly for us. When I started looking for a maid/nanny I advertised and specifically stated LIVE OUT and received quite a few replies. My reason for LIve out help was not only that I didn't want somebody living with us but also that I wanted her to work odd hours. This was all agreed on before the time with her. As we are responsible for her, we went to check out her accommodation and also took into consideration the time she would have to travel. We sponsored her and pay her an additional Dhs500 for accommodation and dhs250 for travel. We put it in writing that should she take leave the travel allowance will not be paid for that month. We have fixed up our maids room in the event she does have to stay over the night or just a place for her to be during working hours. In the last year however she has only stayed over 3 nights. She has access to any food or snacks in the house and as I cook in the evening I include a plate for her. Breakfast and lunch she normally provides herself. She works a strict 8 hour day and a five and a half day week. Normally she works from 12pm to 8pm or as we need her. Should I want her to work later than 8pm I let her come in later during the day. WE are very happy with the arrangement and as our maid just signed up with us for another year I think the arrangment suits her too. Hope this helps you

Generally a full time maid salary varies from 15-2000 depending on nationality.after that you will need to pay for her transportation and room... So say I'm in business bay.i pay my maid 1700.400 for room and 200 traveling costs.in total I pay 2300.after this I only provide food. Now that could vary for u depending where you live..how much cots her to travel. Some people give one month paid vacation with ticket every year and some alternate year. You will be paying sponsorship and visa which would be about 7-9000 for two years. Regarding experience I'm about get my experience from Monday...right now I'm just waiting for the maid to finish work with previous employer. Other than this I found my maid via expat forum.people have listed for their maids in the classifieds or u can post a thread for people leaving the country ...they might be able to recommend their maid.i fin this better because the previous employer gives u a good insight into the maids history.i met the maid..spoke to her..made sure she is fluent in language, understands what we require from her etcc .for me it's like a assurance ,I find it much better than sponsering someone I found on dubizzle or some one coming from a recruitment agency.

From September, I would like to hire a live-out maid on a full-time basis. My understanding is that I would pay around 2,400dhs a month plus the sponsorship/visa costs. Would like advice on where to find someone, good agencies. Also any comments about good/bad experiences with the live-out option would be appreciated. Thanks.
