Hello,

I am new to EW and have spent days scouring the internet and previous forums for recommendations but so confused as there are so many to choose from! I had a miscarriage in March at 7 weeks and have just found out I am pregant again. I was with Dr Tazyeen but due to insurance not covering I am needing for find another obstetrician that is covered by AXA. Can anyone help?

Congratulations and I am really sorry for ur mc. Rest, take it easy and hope u find a good dr. I was high risk all my pgcies and didn't do house chores, especially vacuuming, mopping. Get some help with house work and you must rest as much as u can.

I did not experience the same situation ( I am sorry to hear and I wish you all the best in your current pregnancy), but I also second Dr. Britt Clausson. She delivered my baby recently and she was so good on all levels. She is very knowledgeable, experienced and very supportive..You will be in safe hands with her. Good luck and wish you all the best..

I would also highly recommend Dr George at N9NE medical; not sure about insurance coverage though, it may be pay and claim. Very well respected, specializes in high risk pregnancies and screening tests and has a calm and informative manner.

Congratulations & try to rest as much as possible!!!! I know the stress... I lost 2 pregnancies (both at 7 weeks) between baby no 1 & this pregnancy (now 24.5 weeks along, phew!!!)... It's heartbreaking... And I didn't tell the general public about this one until I was 16 weeks, I didn't want to jinx myself, silly I know... I am seeing Dr Britt at City Hospital & feel I am in very knowledgeable hands. I have AXA Orient insurance & have to pay 20% of all maternity fees, which isn't so bad... I would also strongly strongly recommend Dr George (long greek surname) who is a foetal medicine specialist at Nine Medical Centre, he does all my scans & he is the walking textbook of anything to do with babies in tummies!!! I went once to Dr Santi at Cooper but I just didn't gel with her at all... She treated me like I was sick & tried to make me scared... sometimes MC's just happen.... Good Luck & fingers crossed xx

Try Dr Braithwaite at American Hospital. She specialises in complicated and difficult pregnancies and she was brilliant with me when I had my DD last year. I think AXA covers AH as well. Good luck!
