Thanks everyone! After a night of no sleep, thinking I had done something so terrible to her, she seems a lot better today. Smiling and laughing this morning. We have another issue but I'll do a separate post for that for advice! I have downloaded the book and am looking forward to reading it! She didn't have the rotavirus, got that to come.... No one prepares you for the guilt you feel for making your baby ill....ahhhhhhh

Hey there, if you have decided to vaccinate, don't worry yourself by trying to do online research. My baby had a mild fever and was generally a little cranky for 48 hours after these vaccines. There's nothing to worry about, but if you are concerned, check with the doc after a day or two. Hope the little one feels better...

My baby had around 3-4 days of being miserable after the 8 week shots. He has never reacted like that again to any future vaccines (he's 2 now) and I always figured it was the live rotavirus vaccine he had then. As Sparkly says though, they often go through a fussy patch and a growth spurt around that age which can unsettle them so it could be coincidence, especially if no fever. SInce the next rounds of shots are just the same ones again, your baby is unlikely to have such a strong reaction, as they will have already built immunity. Lots of feeding on demand and cuddles should help.

Babies go through fussy stages In any case... get it checked if you are worried but around 6-8 weeks my baby was fussy too. It corresponds to a time when they go through a very predictable change in their mental development. She has started to notice the world is not so tiny and that there is a whole lot more out there than just you and her (and she does even understand that you and her are separate people yet!) Check out thewonderweeks.com and read the book or download the app to see if any of it applies to your baby right now. From what you have described in her behaviour, it sounds like a mental leap (which is what the wonder weeks is all about). And all the best, hope bubs is ok. <em>edited by sparkly on 20/10/2012</em>

If I were you, I would seriously wait until your daughter is much older to start vaccinating her. There are so many vaccine injured children. Hope and pray that nothing happened to your daughter, and wait until she is much older before giving her any more vaccines. I dont agree with the vaccine schedules, there is just too much given at such a young age. Did she get Hep B at birth? She is your child and follow your instinct. Do alot of research, there is alot online. And dont trust doctors too much that keep telling you how important it is to vaccinate. Dr Oz does NOT vaccinate any of his kids, despite telling people to vaccinate. Good luck and I really hope your daughter will not suffer any long term damage.

My baby is 8 weeks and had the 5 in 1 on Thursday. Since the vaccination she has been very unsettled, upset, crying. If there is no change tomorrow I will take her back to the doctor as I'm scared something is more seriously wrong. She is feeding, sleeping and has no temperature. She has gone from model baby to a really grizzly baby. I know that it is a massive shock to their system but I was assured that affects would be 24 hrs or so only if at all. I was in two minds about the vaccinations but the risks far out weighed, now I am very concerned. Can anyone else share experiences? Thanks
