My son is 8 months old. I gave him oats porridge and he had some reddish rash on his back and some on his tummy. So the doc suggested I keep him off wheat / gluten. I give him fruits for snacks and rice for lunch and dinner. Yes in the hotel I will ask for rice and when we r travelling will keep him on veg and fruit puree. Also I am planning to check in organic store. Thanks

how severe is the gluten allergy? how old is your baby? cereals are not great first foods for babies anyway, avocado and banana are good fresh foods to travel with. If you are staying in hotels you could get them to steam some rice for you if you really want to give it. I haven't seen pre-made baby food that is guaranteed gluten free, although I never looked that hard.

Thanks kiwispers, I give him only home food but I am travelling at the end of this month and don't have an access to kitchen so wanted some readymade food like cerelac.

why not make your own? I used to make a quinoa puree for my guy, soak and cook quinoa then puree in blender into a porridge and freeze in cubes, you can do the same with millet and pudding rice. homemade it not fortified like commercial infant cereals, so you need to include a lot of iron rich foods (like meat) in the daily diet.
