Anyone recommend one of these obstetricians, has heard mixed reviews about them both! I heard that luthra is a little frightening! Especially as its my first?!

Unlike most of the posts here, I had a terrible experience with Dr. Luthra. She spent the minimum amount of time examining me and didn't really give me a clear explanation of the diagnosis. I was scared and had to consult with another doctor to understand what was the issue. I have Master's degree and know how to research a medical issue; such arrogant behavior is not acceptable. By the way, this was not my first visit, but after being treated the same way multiple times, I will for sure look for another Gyno.

I had my first girl with Dr.Azza she was amazing, very friendly, knew what she was doing, and i felt very comfortable with her.

Dr.Luthra has been fab with me till date... FTM... loads of queries, frantic at time but she is so thorough with her replies you feel well looked after. She might not come across as really warm but I have seen her caring side when she comforted me during my emergency hospital stay last week. Have your queries ready, and she will answer them....upon research I found her standards are really good... like keeping wght down, managing bp, sugar etc.

I had Dr Luthra and really liked her. She's not the warm and cuddly type but will answer any questions you have. She won't volunteer information though. So if you want to know something you have to ask her. I chose not to have an epidural and she was fine with that, she did arrange for me to meet the anethasist so that I was aware of all my pain relief options. She also waited as I requested until I was 42+1 week before inducing me as my giant little man was quite cozy and had no intention of coming out on his own. During th birth she only comes in to check on you then when you're ready to push they call her and she comes in and takes the lead. I found her very supportive of me. I wanted both my mother and hubby in the room, the othe dr and nurses tried kickin them out she said no my patient wants them to stay as long as they help they can stay. If I was to have another baby I would definately go back to her. edited by starsouthern on 06/01/2013
