Daily routine of your toddlers?

This is a list of suggestions i used to use when we were still living in the UAE. We are now back in Oz, and #4 is a 2 year old, so I still use ideas from this list! Also, there is a link to a few excellent Pinterest boards with 1000's of ideas. * painting ( oil pastels and watercolours) * painting with shaving cream ( mixed with a little glue) * painting with water outside * marble painting ( putting paper in an old baking dish, add sheet of paper, and drops of paint. Add a marble, and move tray from side to side) * drawing ( pencils, crayons, textas, chalk, charcoal etc) * cutting ( string, papers, ) * cut and pasting ( felt, fabric scraps, cotton, string, papers) * pasting ( glitter, felt, foam strips, cotton balls, stickers, patty pans, match sticks etc) * playing with dolls ( dressing them, dolls house, bath time- with a big bowl of water, soap etc) * threading and beading ( cotton spools, dried macaroni, fruit loops etc) * puzzles ( numerous wooden puzzle of varying difficulty) * blocks ( wooden and foam) * tanagrams ( following patterns) * sensory tray ( currently filled with small and large pebbles. She adds animals, cars, people etc). You could fill with sand , water etc. * Scoop + measure ( a container filled with dried beans,measuring cups, sieve, jugs, measuring spoons, bowls, kitchen scales) * tea set ( made from real china- glasses, vases, plates, tea pot etc) * play dough ( home made- if you like I can send you the recipe- a batch usually last us up to about 6 months, when wrapped in cling wrap, and stored in an airtight container) * blow pens * stamping ( stamps, ink pads, kitchen utensils such as old potato mashers also make great stampers!) * Bubble mixture * reading * whiteboard ( magnetic letters and whiteboard textas) * board games * using a variety of hole punches Some of #4's favourite activities are: *he spends hrs on his balance bike *sandpit *water play *he plays with a set of keys and locks for ages, trying to undo them all *trampoline http://pinterest.com/playathomemom3/ http://pinterest.com/NLieuOPreschool/ (my favourite) Hope this gives you a starting point!

Sandpit, paddling pool, play dough and ikea kitchen. We use all of these daily. He also loves dressing up as a pirate and loves helping me around the house ( I give him a spray bottle full of water and a cloth, get him to break the eggs when I cook etc. we also have a few play dates a week and music class, gym class etc and he loves going to cafes for babycinos

Lots of playing outside and big walks with them in the buggy when it's cool enough. My children have all loved dancing (great exercise for me too), being read to and doing puzzles.

Hello mommies, just wondering what/how do you keep your little ones busy all day, not to get bored? Aside from going out/ sending them to little gym/kidsventure or nursery which is quite expensive, what do you normally do to make each day productive for them?
