sorry for crashing your thread but I thought this might be useful for any of you or maybe someone you know. i gave birth to my daughter back in December and as you can imagine she outgrew a lot of her clothes (they are a bit thick so its ideal for newborns in the winter) which were barely worn and are in excellent condition. i am willing to give them to anyone who needs them for free. if anyone out here is interested ,send me an email on [email protected]

Hi poppy, Thank you. I plan to have the kids here in Dubai, - I might just pay Latifa hospital a visit. I am also considering City hospital. - might just register with them both and see what happens. Ive started folic acid... what us women have to go through hey... x

Aneeta just another tip, if you looking to meet people who are also due in December then make that a separate thread as opposed to if you have a specific enquiry. If you need specific advice, more people will open such a thread title compared to 'dec 2013' as the latter wouldn't apply to them. Good luck

Congrats on your pregnancy! Wow twins how exciting! Not having insurance is a bit tricky so you will need to do your research well. Will you plan to give birth here or your home country? I'd suggest you look into Latifa Hospital (formely known as Al Wasl Hospital). Reason is they are the main Government Maternity Hospital. Also, as twins are usually born a bit early, Latifa Hospital is known to have a very good NICU (God willing you wont need it though). Where are you based? I think you need to register with Latifa by 15 weeks, best to check this as im not sure. If you lookng for reasonably priced ante natal visits until then, Id recommend Dr Justine at Lifeline Clinic in JBR. She has alot of UK experience and really takes her time. The clinic is relatively quiet (compared to the busy hospitals) so its easy to get an appointmnet and you never feel rushed. She does not do deliveries but the consultation fee is only 350 per visit and this includes a scan if needed, she does not charge extra for the in-house scan. If you need to do the other 'major scans' like at 12 weeks, that will be an extra charge. Best wishes for an easy pregnancy. Dont forget to start your folic acid supplememts if you havent done so already!
