Hi everyone!
I just arrived in AD 2 days ago.
Im 28 weeks pregnant and my husband and i are looking to register to a hospital.
One he his colleagues just gave birth at Al Rahba hospital and her baby was pre mature and she gave positive feed backs for this hospital.
Has anyone gave birth there? This is our first baby and we just want everything to go well.
Any advice or suggestions?

Yes, yes and yes! Thanks to Jackieq513, last year I was asking the same question and she recommended Alrahba. My experience was excellent. The midwives and nurses were very nice. I had seen many doctors in my antenatal appointment and I felt most of them were very good except one, so in next visit I asked them not to see her again. Hi! I gave birth in Al Rahba 2 years ago, my friend also did just this week! I would definitely use the hospital again, they are similar to the corniche although not a dedicated Maternity hospital. I had a good experience there overall, I found the nurses to be very caring, the hospital was spotlessly clean. They were very pro natural birth and pro breastfeeding and got my daughter and I off to a great start. The waiting times for ante natal appointments arent as bad as Corniche (but still not good!) and you will more than likely get a private room after delivery, there are only a few shared rooms. Theres a new head of the ob gyn department, an American doctor called Dr Erik, apparently he is very good, but like other govt hospitals you dont get an appointment with a specific doctor and you cant guarantee who will actually deliver your baby - its whoever is on duty. Also, you cant absolutely guarantee you will get an epidural as theres not a dedicated maternity anaesthetist so if theres an emergency elsewhere in the hospital they would be given priority. Hope this info helps!
