Hi Purple32,
I have also chosen Al Zahra and Dr Yamini.
I'm 14 weeks with my first so have only had one appointment with Dr Yamini so far. She' very knowledgeable and to the point, no messing around. But if you have questions, she has time to answer them.
Al Zahra are very pro natural birth. Their model is around midwife led care. The baby stays with you after birth and is never taken out of sight of the mother (unless it's a medical emergency or something). When you have your first appointment, Dr Yamini will give you a patient info booklet that explains Al Zahra's philosophy. Also make sure you have a tour of the wards while you're there.
I have the costs of the maternity packages:
- antenatal 4950
- basic normal delivery 8450 (1 night stay)
- standard normal delivery 10,950 (2 night stay)
- extended normal delivery 12,450 (3 night stay)
- basic caesarean delivery 19,950 (4 night stay)
- extended caesarean delivery 22,450 (5 night stay)
Hope that helps you!
Hi ladies
I'm pregnant with number 2. We have an app at Al Zahra hospital when I will be around 10 weeks pregnant. I have read the reviews on here, any new reviews? What is Dr Yamini like? Are they pro natural birth? Does any one have the costs of the maternity care there? We have insurance, but we pay and claim back, the labour side of it the insurance company pay directly.
I chose there as the others seem to be very pushy with induction, c section etc. I shouldn't have to fight for what I want.
I had number 1 in the UK, so this is all new to me here in Dubai.
Thanx
