I went along with our baby and DH (he's American, I'm not) - from what I recall, which is not a lot as the baby was about 2 weeks old at the time, it was straightforward. As long as you have all the required paperwork, if I remember one part is about proving that you have lived in the States for the period they request, I think we took DH's old school/college transcripts, tax transcripts and payslips. Make sure your documents are all organised nicely so you can find what they ask for as they don't like to waste time. I don't remember any interview as such, the officer asked about the hospital where I gave birth but I thought she was just making conversation! The passport only took a few days I think, the social security number took a while longer. <em>edited by Beany on 01/11/2013</em>

Hi I have to go to the US Embassy on Tuesday to apply for my newborns CRBA and Passport. Can anyone share their experience ? What to expect in this "interview"?
