Hi,
We arrive in Dubai in August. A family of 4, two 15 and 13 yrs old. They will attend a small school in the knowlege village. I have many questions
Accomodation:
We are hoping to find furnished accomodation on the lower palm ( Oceana building possibily) is this a good option/. We are staying just for the school year so will be leaving July 2017. Will we be stuck without a car? Husband will work in JLT. preferably looking for 4 bedrooms. Annual rent around 300,000 AED
Kids social activities:
What are the social options for girls aged 15 & 13yrs old. I would like them to find some volunteering services if possible or join some type of 'Duke of Edingburgh Award" group.
Cultural information:
Are there any 'orientation" services available? We have moved many times so can 'work it out" but my husbands company has no HR to advise. We are British moving from the USA so it would be great to have some info on the language and cultural do's and dont's so we start of on the right foot.
What to bring?;
Is there anything that you cannot get in UAE or is hard to get or very expensive that we can bring from the US or Europe.
Doctors?
Is it easy to get set up with a Dr and maintain any pre -prescibed medications?
Is there anything else I need to know? All advice welcomed and thank you in advance to anyone who tales the time to respond, it is much appreciated. :)
