Hi,

I am pregnant and trying to find a good solution to have my baby cared for when I will go back to work. Having a live-in maid is not an option as we could not accommodate her. Some people have mentioned getting a live-out maid but it seems difficult to find the right one (maybe I am wrong here?) so I thought I would check out the nurseries.

I found quite a few listings of nurseries around Dubai, but some of these are a bit old, and most list nurseries in the Umm Suqeim area, which does not suit my needs.

I live in Discovery Gardens and work at Media City, so I would need a nursery in that area -DG, Ibn Battuta, Marina, JBR, JLT, Media City...

The problem is, I would need a nursery that can care for children from at least 3 months, and that's when it becomes harder. Could you help me please?

So far, I only found the Monroe Nursery at Murjan, JBR. They seem very professional and quite accommodating but I would like more options if possible.

French nurseries could also be an option as we are a French family, but English-speaking ones are just fine for us.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks a lot @sourskittleashnut, that's very helpful! I will check out the nurseries you mention. I too would be more comfortable with my baby in a daycare/nursery, it's just that most people I discussed this with mentioned getting a maid...;)

It seems there are more nurseries in Umm Suqeim to cater to that age, like Childrens Garden nursery . Have you checked the British Orchard nursery in Media City? I found this link that has a list of nurseries in Marina/Media City area, and ages are listed there too: [url=https://www.angloinfo.com/dubai/directory/dubai-nurseries-dubai-marina-jumeirah-lakes-tower-621'>https://www.angloinfo.com/dubai/directory/dubai-nurseries-dubai-marina-jumeirah-lakes-tower-621[/url'> [b'> Childrens Oasis Play Centre[/b'> Drop off daycare center located at Al Shalal Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah. Accepts children from two months. [b'> Kids Kingdom Learning Center[/b'> Nursery and pre-school for children from 45 days old to 4 years old. Follows the EYFS curriculum. Located at Cluster L [b'>Four2Four Nursery & Day Care[/b'> Nursery and pre-school for children 4 months to 4 years old. Full day care from 07:00-19:00. Located at Gold Crest Views As for the nanny route, I think a daycare/nursery is a much safer option. I went back to work when my daughter was 11 months old and felt much more relaxed that she was in a safe environment with trained teachers and other kids. If anything happens, there is accountability. I do understand with a nanny you might feel better because the baby is still at home, but I think I would still choose a nursery over a nannay at such a small age. Good luck!
