Can anyone recommend a good, tough divorce lawyer in Dubai? My lawyer in the UK has suggested that I divorce in Dubai rather than the UK, for a variety of reasons I'd rather not get into. I don't need someone who will do the admin around the divorce, I need someone who will negotiate and mediate, to move this thing forward as quickly as possible. Any suggestions of people that you've used and were genuinely happy with?

I spoke with a lady called Sophie Capo-Bianco - a British lawyer based in Dubai. Very tough cookie when it comes to dealing with matters. I second this firm, a lady called Holly Sautelle-Smith is very good as well.

I have a friend who sought help regarding her divorce at Proconsult Advocates and Legal Consultants a year ago and she was very happy with the service rendered. This was her first time dealing with the legal system and at first she did not know what to do or where to turn. They explained everything that was going to happen and was always responsive to her questions and concerns. They took the time to explain various options so we could weigh the pros and cons of each and come to a conclusion together. I would highly recommend ProConsult. They know the way around the court system. It went above and beyond what she expected and was fair with the billing as well. Goodluck!
