Moving from UK to Dubai

Hi
I know these types of questions have been asked numerous times and I have read a lot of posts in relation to moving to Dubai from the UK, however it would be really great if anyone on here can tell me their own experience. I have never been to Dubai but have been offered (very nearly) a job which is a fantastic opportunity for me. I am all for moving, although I don't know anyone, besides my boss, and currently have nowhere to live etc or have any clue about where to start.
Please help. Any advice/recommendations would be amazing!
