Saudi man with family in car - scam!!

Besides the man selling Italian suits and the guys with fake wounds needing money for medical treatments.. There's a new scam it seems. Well, new to me! I bumped into a Saudi man outside my building, who stopped me to explain that he had driven from Saudi with his family and children and now his car wasn't working and needed money to get back home
I managed to get out of the situation but worried that some one else may fall for it, or even a tourist who doesn't know to watch out for it
