What year does the mandatory Islamic Education end?

I know that Islamic education is mandatory for all Muslim Children - is there a year group when its no longer mandatory. For example, Arabic is mandatory until year 9 so wondered if it was the same for Islamic? Does it carry through GCSE and/or A levels or IB?
