Hello ladies,

I don't know if this post is going to get anywhere or if am going to get any advice and recommendations...

those that are going to judge, please save it and go be judgmental somewhere else!

here is my story..
I am in my early 30ies and have 3 kids. I started struggling with my weight 8 years ago when I had my first child. I always remained 10KGs over weight (and by that I mean losing the 10kg I would still look full like a size 12 which I am happy with) , had my second child and managed to lose some weight and was back to being 10-12kgs overweight (again losing the 10-12kg was not going to make me super skinny). after my second pregnancy i got diagnosed with an under active thyroid but it is controlled with meds, but that meant that I need to work extra hard to maintain or lose my weight.. I had to always diet and exercise to ensure i dont put on more weight..
I had my third child 1.5 years ago and things are just going downhill for me. i am now need to lose at least 17kg. i cant lose the weight i just cant.
name a diet, I have tried it, healthy meal plans, nutritionist, hypno app, gym, personal trainer.. I have tried them all over the 8 years and in particular the last 1.5 years and nothing seems to be working.

I know 17kg to some people might not seem a great deal but to me it is. I hate looking at myself in the mirror, I hate going out, I hate shopping and I was once what people called ' a social butterfly'! !!!!
when I go out now all I do is obsess over skinny people near by and wish I could be that size! all I talk about is weight loss and I am just so SICK OF IT.

I have googled gastric sleeve, the balloon , the band and I know each come with risks! gastric sleeve is something i dont think I will do because I have read that some people have lost their lives as a result of some gastric leak .

The band I have heard may require few visits to adjust it, sometimes the ring gets infused into the stomach or slips creating problems and people always complain from excessive vomiting.

The balloon I have read mainly that it just doesn't work?

I am writing this post to anyone that has undergone any of these procedures with similar weight problems, how was your experience? how did you go about picking the right hospital? doctor?

BTW i went to see DR Roger Emirates Hospital and he said i was borderline for the band but didnt discuss it because he wanted me to see a nutritionist in cosmosurge, follow a plana nd go on Optifast ( a meal replacement shake/soup or something) and to b honest I am not going to , because like i mentioned earlier, I have tried the nutritionist and the meal replacements and they didnt work!.

thank you
FM
