My 8 month old nephew has rejected formula and doesn't seem to adjust to any kind of brand. His mother is not able to provide enough breast milk lately. She is considering giving him fresh cows milk to supplement for lack of breast milk. It is recommended that fresh cows milk should be given after a baby turns one. However, given that her baby is rejecting formula milk, have any of you given a baby fresh cows milk? Do you know if anyone is experiencing a similar situation and has given her baby fresh cows milk? Any feedback would be very helpful. Thanks!

There are many Formula milk available in the market. As suggested above, it's best to check with your nephew's pediatrician. Fresh cow's milk is a big NO as he is still 8 months as it could give the baby indigestion and all sorts of other tummy upsets. PediaSure is an excellent formula, but do check.

I think the best thing to do is to ask a pediatrician. Cow's milk isn't easily digested by the human body, it might be worse with a young baby. Good luck!
