Earlier this week, the International Space Station shared some incredible pictures captured of Dubai from space.
Taken whilst the station orbited at 255 miles (410km) above the country, the images were shared via Instagram on the official International Space Station (ISS) account.

In the pictures captured, you can easily see a few of Dubai's most recognisable landmarks; including Palm Jumeirah, the World Islands and the yet-to-be-built-on Palm Jebel Ali. You can also spot where the Dubai Canal meets with the coast.
According to the post caption, the images were taken by an Expedition 59 crew member when the ISS was orbiting over Saudi Arabia, about to cross the Persian Gulf.
This isn't the first time incredible images of Dubai and the UAE from space have been shared. In fact, Dubai is one of the most photographed places on Eart from the ISS thanks to its impressive coastline and structure. In 2017, astronauts Tim Peake and Shane Kimbrough shared some breathtaking snaps of the emirates from above.
In 2018, we also saw the first images released from the UAE's KhalifaSat shared.
