Hello, I am writing this on behalf of a friend who is extremely worried. She comes from a conservative muslim backgroud. Her Father is in his hometown and is forcing her to marry someone she doesn't like. I want to know - legally is that possible that her father can do that? And if No - what are the legal measures she can take. She is on a work visa here in dubai and lives alone. All her family is back home and planning to come to take her back after the pandemic situation.
