Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Secondary Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to join our outstanding team at Kings' School Al Barsha.
This is a pivotal role providing high-level administrative and executive support to the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Secondary Leadership Office. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, excellent judgement and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. They will work collaboratively with senior leaders, staff, parents and external stakeholders, contributing to the continued success of our thriving school community.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Headteacher.
- Manage the Headteacher's diary, appointments and meeting schedule.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes and monitor follow-up actions.
- Draft, proofread and prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation.
- Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, visitors and external organizations, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
- Manage confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, school events and administrative activities as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Support the preparation of documentation for inspections, audits and leadership initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and wider administrative teams to ensure the efficient operation of the Secondary School.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Headteacher.
Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor’s degree.
- Professional administrative qualification.
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and exercise sound judgement.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across the school community.
Requirements
- Related experience required in working as a Personal Assistant,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally are essential.
