In Pictures: The ExpatWoman Festive Family Fair

On November 12th this year, we completely kick-started the festive season in the emirate with our hugely popular, annual Festive Family Fair. From 10am onwards, we offered visitors the chance to join in the festive fun, free kids activities and the most perfect family day out in the beautiful Dubai weather. 

This year we promised it would be bigger and better than ever... And in our fifth year running, the day didn't disappoint! With over 140+ crafters joining us, plenty of kids activities and entertainment to enjoy and plenty of food and refreshments on site, it was a spectacular day for all. 

So much so in fact, that we had over 12,000 people join us on the day itself! 

The 2016 ExpatWoman Festive Family Fair

From the onset, crowds poured in to explore the fantastic works of Dubai's most talented crafters as they began their Christmas shopping. Our Croutique.com crafting zone offered visitors the perfect chance to grab stocking-fillers, one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones and even treats for themselves. 

On stage we had fantastic entertainment from some of Dubai's best and most recognisable acts, including Magic Phil's magic show and Rock It Science's science show. Plus, we were joined by the talented Dubai Drums and the Dubai Music School Choir.

Not only that, but visitors were able to get their hands on some great raffle prizes filled with goodies. Plus, to help keep stomachs filled and mouths refreshed, visitors had the chane to taste some of the best food and beverage brands in Dubai in our Talabat.com Food & Picnic Zone. 

Families were able to let the kids loose on the many festive activities we had on the day, including our huge six-lane trampoline, a Christmas train, a whopping Christmas tree, a rodeo reindeer – which was extremely laughter-inducing for all – a petting zoo thanks to our friends at Posh Paws, a polo match and of course… Our hugely popular Santa’s Grotto. Kids were able to hand over their Christmas lists early to the main man himself, and later were able to wave bon voyage to him towards the end of the day with our Santa’s Parade, which included Dora the Explorer and Bugs Bunny.

For the adults, our Cobone zone was a great place to relax, with opportunity to meet with exhibitors, crafters and Dubai’s best local authors. As well as the Family and Pamper zone where visitors could unwind and meet the team behind our new ewmoda.com website and other fantastic beauty, health and lifestyle companies here in Dubai.

Highlights of the day include photo opportunities with Mother Christmas herself, as well as the impressive characters from the well-known Star Wars franchise!

We had our annual polo match once again... With this year's teams as ExpatWoman vs. Cobone.com! The match is always great fun and lovely entertainment for the families joining us on the day.
