Thanks so much for your recommendation for Imagine Education for tutoring. I have sent them an email. I love the idea of us all travelling and pleasing ourselves with a little education thrown in but perhaps the reality of no school (especially for my 9 year old who needs mates) will be harsh!! We are now thinking our stay will be longer so I am thinking about the children going to school here. I have read on EW that our time of arrival (a week ago!) might mean that we get places in schools easier than a September start. If this is the case and my DH likes the Marina - where should I aim to school them? They are 5 and 9.

I use Imagine education for both children and am delighted. I have the tutor called Matt and he is fantastic. I told them about EW and they advertise here now http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_Learning_Support_Imagine_Education_5694.aspx All legal and above board. They come to my house, but I think they also have weekly workshops for small groups. They employ school teachers who must be supplementing their income or other qualified teachers who may not be working.

Private Tutoring/Homeschooling. Faced with 3-6 months in Dubai to finalise the set up of a branch of our UK company, my husband and feel unwilling to send the children to school there, nor would we find a school to take them for such a short time. I need a solution, please help if you can. As far as the UK are concerned I am homeschooling the children, but I also work part-time and need the kids to go somewhere!!! I thought Private Tutoring might be the answer but hearing it is illegal is a little daunting for someone who hasn't even arrived there yet!
