Extending Visa
Hi All,
I am currently on the initial 30 day visitor visa (not yet reached the end and still have my 10 day grace to go) but want to understand the process of extending - just in case my residency does not come through in time for us.
My husband has received his residency at the end of last week so the process has begun for me but his company have indicated it may be longer to get than my current visa allows.
I know that I can fly out of the country and come back in on another tourist visa for an additional 30 days but I was wondering if there is any Immigration office that I can go to here in Abu Dhabi and get the extension without leaving the country?
If there is, has anyone had any experience with this and how difficult is the process? Any recommendations on how best to proceed would be much appreciated. I have tried reading about it online but nothing current (i.e last post seems to be from 2014) around this and was wondering what the current process might be.
