For those who drive a motorcycle in the UAE or wish to buy one, here’s what you should know

A huge Motor Corporation, Suzuki, announced on Sunday a recall for the GSX-S750 and GSX-R1000R and V-Storm 650 motorcycle models.

The reason behind the recall was stated to be due to a number of motorists reporting issues with the fuel pump.

Suzuki then confirmed that there is an issue in the sealing design on the fuel pump O ring set.

With the help of the Ministry of Economy, the company is issuing an immediate recall of these three motorcycle brands to ensure motorist and public safety.

"The problem lies with a faulty O-ring set in the fuel pump, which can get twisted and lead to fuel leakage, and may even cause a fire," said a representative of Suzuki in a statement.

The huge Motor Corporation is said to replace the O-ring set with a new and improved version in the affected bikes and free of cost at the owner’s expense.
