Hi,
My child who turned 3 two days back had been diagnosed with mild autism.i really want to start work on him ASAP.
He is very fond of food like bread, gravy, yoghurt and milk.
But I did some research and now doctor also recommended me to put him on gluten free and caesin free diet.
He is not eating much now. I have changed his milk, giving him camel milk and soya milk and gluten free food. Is there anyone with autistic child?what measures have to taken regarding diet . Does that work?i am giving him all multivitamin and cod liver oil .
My second important question is weather to put him in special school or main stream school. He has no expressive speech. But can say and identify alphabets, numbers, colours and animals.doea anyone aware of TDCC. I visited their special school at jumaira which is very expensive .
I need to decide his school .can anyone tell me speech therapist and ABA therapist that can come home.what measures shall I take in decking school?
Thanks !
Desperate mum

Hi :) We've been with TDCC for almost a year now and they do have issues with management but I find the therapists excellent. But I hate the nursery, they shout a lot and are strict but parents ( which I meet there) are happy and say the children are really improving. I do not believe in AbA therapy and don't have any recommendations but my child does OT at TDCC and she's improving. She also takes speech. I've never considered a special diet, there's not enough research to support this practice, I hope a mom here can share her thoughts, I'd like to know more about it. With regards to school, you need to find one with a good learning support, jps, wellington, Repton, victory heights and japs are the one I reader he'd and found them supportive, I do not believe in special needs nurseries and special needs schools, our children are part of the society and should be accepted as they are as long as you give her or him the proper support. I know it's very expensive so good luck, it's a long journey but at the end it works out somehow :) Hi Does any one have the experience with Doris daun young autism center in Dubai health care city? Am looking for some good and therapy for my 2 year 10 months old ASD son with no speech . Plz. Reply asap .

Desperate mum I would recommend you to visit reachout centre in JLT. I forget name of the manager. She is fantastic. It was free consultation for about an hour. She guided me and explained everything about it. Huge difference with TADDC.

Eliminating dairy specifically. I am concerned that the nursery shout a lot - no child should be shouted at autistic or otherwise!! Be prepared in a Dubai fir a long and expensive journey.
